Welcome to

Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute

ADVETI is an initiative of the Abu Dhabi Government and is under the umbrella of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical & Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET). Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI) was established in 2007 and has five (5) entities: Al Jazirah Institute of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi, Al Jaheli Institute of Science and Technology in Al Ain, Baynounah Institute of Science and Technology in Al Dhafra, Al Jazirah Institute of Science and Technology in Al Shahama, and Vocational Education Development Centre (VEDC).

Admission Requirements

Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute

Most students applying for a place in an ADVETI Institute enter in the fall term at the beginning of the academic year in September, but admission is also possible at the beginning of the Winter term in January.
All students are notified of the outcome of their application by the Institute of their choice. Where student applications exceed the number of places available, priority is given to current High School graduates who have applied through the NAPO system, then to applications from mature applicants.

ADVETI Business Development Unit (BDU) will have the responsibility to interact with all other ADVETI units as well as local community and work very closely with a broad spectrum of industries, businesses, government offices, banks etc. in areas of initiating, managing and marketing ADVETI training programs. This unit will be the focal point in ADVETI for all training activities. ADVETI business development unit is capable of designing and delivering any corporate tailor-made training program all business & industry sectors would like to train their associates on. ADVETI is professionally capable of designing the program that you desire based on international standards and local accreditation.

The student services department provides administrative support to students and the academic team. All students’ admission and enrollment activities are handled by the Student Services department, as well as student progression up to graduation. In addition to providing details information on students’ policies, procedures and regulations, the Student Services department provides counseling services to students and organizes different student activities in coordination with the academic services and operations departments.

Does ADVETI offer afternoon classes, part-time or correspondence programs?

Yes. Afternoon Classes. No part time no correspondence. Afternoon classes are provided in specific locations and programs. Ask the students services in your campus.

What on-campus services does ADVETI offer?

Does ADVETI accept transfer students?

Yes.

What is the minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) required from a transfer applicant to be considered for admission?

Grade C and above. Or a challenge exam can be done.

How long does it take to inform a transfer applicant about the number of credits to be awarded?

This will be done after registrations.

Can ADVETI students transfer to any other institution of higher education in the United Arab Emirates?

Need to check with the host institution. yes they can.

What is the maximum number of credit hours that may be transferred to ADVETI?

Not more than 50%.

What is the minimum high school average to apply?

There is no minimum average required.

What are the secondary education certificates accepted by ADVETI?

All high school certificates attested by MOE are accepted.

Does ADVETI offer TOEFL, IELTS and SAT exams?

No, we are an EMSAT testing center and students can register to take the test using the MOE website.

Does ADVETI conduct entrance exams?

yes for English only to determine the level of foundation.

Can I join ADVETI even if I don’t get the required passing score for EMSAT or IELTS?

Yes, In the foundation program.
